Kenny Rogers was never supposed to be a great pitcher; in fact, he was never supposed to be a pitcher at all.  Rogers was drafted in the 39th round of the 1982 MLB Draft as a right fielder, and was converted to pitcher in the minor leagues.  He spent seven seasons in the Minor Leagues before joining the Rangers big-league squad in 1989 as a bullpen pitcher. Marsai Martin celebrated her eighteenth birthday in style over the weekend. The Black-ish star received loving messages from her family, friends, and co-workers. Tracee Ellis Ross, who was Marsai’a onscreen mom for years on Black-ish, shared a throwback clip of her and Marsai onset. Tracee celebrated her and Marsai’s glasses in the footage. “Two girls with glasses,” Ross shared in the clip. Nightmare on Elm Street Gets Remake With Writer of Horror Flick Orphan

Dreams turned reality. Horror classic Nightmare on Elm Street will be getting a reboot more than 30 years after the release of Wes Craven’s original, according to The Wrap. The film, which first terrorized audiences’ imaginations in 1984 and spawned four sequels, made a comeback in 2010 with director Samuel Bayer’s remake. It starred Rooney Mara, with Jackie Earle Haley taking over as Robert Englund’s famed villain, Freddy Krueger. Critics largely panned the new film. Read More...
